Another 'Illustration Friday' [link] adventure. This one was inspired by Phil Hale and Jon Foster, and the topic was 'Fleeting', as in "life is so..."
Painter 9, all afternoon I'm really enjoying these stints because they're conceptual, simple, and let me explore different techniques that I can't with illustration clients, especially in the high fantasy industry. Everyone wants 'realism'. Maybe it's time to shift gears... Comments
 You're on a roll! The perspective is a little confusing, but the color tones are delicious and I'm loving the wonky composition.
 -- I have seen the moment of my greatness flicker, And I have seen the eternal Footman hold my coat, and snicker, And in short, I was afraid. ::navate.com  PS...perspective is my bane. Yeup.  I can feel the impact...the rush of blood.
-- "The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me."- Howard Roark  Yeah, kinda grim, huh? It's odd I gravitate towards this stuff, because in daily life, I'm all sunshine and lollypops!
 Cooooooooool. The anatomy and veins and stuff are spot on, I suppose that's the dreaded realism creeping in, though. But this is more of a greek statue on crack sort of realism. And of course, the exploding face action. Can't have greek statues on crack without massive projectile bleeeeeeding! Oh noes.
 In other words, lovin' the weird concept stuff, I hope you keep it up, not just for my eyeball pleasure, but for getting away from work stuff a bit.  -- If wishes were horses, we'd all be eating steak. - Jayne, Firefly.
