Another Illo for Wolfgang Baur's Kobold Quarterly mag, to accompany an article on tieflings. It's a little more 'illustrative' and less academic than I usually work...which was so freeing. I think this is the 3.5 version of the critter, so no beefing about "Hey, this isn't what a tiefling looks like!" Mr. Baur created tieflings...and he was happy. ;) Check out Kobold Quarterly #6! (Homage to :iconcobweb-stock: for the pose and :iconcypherx: for her lighting vibe.)

What gorgeous detail! I love how red his hair is.
My favourites are how the light is coming down and his smirk.
VERY NICE!

They're other-planer creatures, with a demonic heritage. I THINK. I'm not a true and thorough gamer chick. Yet...
It makes me smile whenever I see some really great D&D or fantasy art... RolePlaying/Fantasy geeks for the win...

I am not alone in my geekdom!

I think you did a beautiful job depicting Teiflings... Teiflings can look as diverse as humans, with the added diversity of having additional traits of a separate bloodline. Like Aasimar, they are a combination of other bloodlines (demon/celestial) and human, so naturally they can look more human, or less human... Great job ^_^

I'll take one :D
I really like his hair; the way it flows down his shoulders and back; and the color of it.
